Today, this profession is in great demand in almost all organizations, big and small. Companies use this position to promote their products/services to their customers. At one time only IT firms and private companies were employed but now many government agencies and ministries also employ social media managers to facilitate their promotion.
- The things that a social media manager does:
- Plan to promote various products/services of the organization
- Create content related to products/services and post regularly to check if they are updated
- Regularly monitor the performance of various posts and prepare reports
- Planning and implementing various social media campaigns
- Provide necessary guidance and training to social media editors, content creators, and customer support teams as needed.
- Create and monitor budgets for various campaigns
- Communicate regularly with the sales and marketing team
